Establishes and maintains a program to assure that imaging and recording systems function accurately, consistently, and safely. Quality diagnostic images are the goal of this program. Performs tests on image receptors, processors and other equipment/devices and accessories. Assumes responsibility for duties correlating with quality control tests and evaluations. Coordinates assignments for staff Radiologic Technologists. May act as Diagnostic Imaging Department Manager in the absence of the Department Manager. Responsible for maintaining quality radiographic services in accordance with established standards. This description is not intended to be a complete list of duties. Graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Must be able to obtain New Mexico State Licensure.
Should be an experiences medical imaging technologist-demonstrating competency.
Five years of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
Three years of leadership experiences recommended but not required.
Must take on-call duty and respond within 30 minutes.
Must maintain day to day operations and staffing schedules.
Current American Heart – HeartSaver or Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
Performs related responsibilities as assigned.
