  • Overview

    Under the direction of the Controller, this position is responsible for the financial analysis of hospital indicators, the preparation of a daily dashboard, preparation of the annual budget, measurement of performance against past organizational data and local, regional, and national benchmarks, financial projections, preparation of pro-forma analysis of potential capital or project investments, ROI analysis, analysis of labor productivity, utilization and maintenance of the cost accounting and patient analytics system, facilitating financial evaluation of management company performance, gathering of cost report data, preparation of financial statements, maintaining financial report writer, maintaining financial reporting system, and other duties as may be required. Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis will provide coverage during the Controller’s absence and manage the Financial Analyst.

    Qualifications

    High School diploma or equivalent. 
    Bachelor’s Degree with Accounting Major or Health Services Administration.
    Understanding of Cost Accounting Principals
    Experience desirable in working with Medicare, Medicaid, and other third party reimbursement systems.
    Previous financial analysis experience of at least 2 years required. Other than hospital experience may be considered.
    Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze and computer numbers.
    Must be able to coordinate and perform multiple projects simultaneously.
    Strong knowledge of Excel and charting is a requirement and at least a basic knowledge of Word and Access database.
    Self-motivated ability to work independently on projects with emphasis on planning, analytical and organizational skills.
    Current American Heart – HeartSaver or Basic Life Support (BLS) card.  
    Performs related responsibilities as assigned.
