Provides healthcare services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of disease in humans. Performs ultrasonic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. This description is not intended to be a complete list of duties. Future Expectation: within 6 months of hire must have scheduled, taken and provided the Director of DI, and Human Resources with registry test results. Will successfully complete the physics registry (physical principles and instrumentation examination) and one RDMS corresponding specialty (i.e. Abdomen or OB or Small Parts) within twelve months of hire, if not in possession at time of hire.
