Assists in the planning, coordination, and administration of policies related to all phases of the hospital’s human resources, Employee Health and Payroll. Will be responsible for coordinating and providing technical and administrative support in the department. Works closely with Employee Health and Payroll. The secretarial duties may include typing, composing correspondence, compiling data, creating graphs, scheduling meetings, maintaining a calendar for departments, , answering and screening incoming calls, maintaining department records, filing, and provide other assistance as needed. High School diploma or equivalent and secretary experience required, with a background in healthcare preferred.
Current American Heart – HeartSaver card.
Demonstrates skills in clerical work; must be computer literate; knowledgeable in Word Perfect and/or Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, Power Point, and Access, or other spreadsheet software to prepare charts, graphs, presentations, etc.
· Interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to frequent changes, business related social skills a must.
· Must accurately type and operate 10-key calculator.
· Works independently with minimal instructions. Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
· A high degree of concentration and multi-tasking is required.
