Provides health care services, applying pulsed radio frequency waves and magnetic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of human disorders. Performs magnetic resonance procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanour complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient condition essential for successful completion of the procedures. This description is not intended to be a complete list of duties.
Graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation Approved School of Radiologic Technology. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. Prefer two years’ experience in MRI. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must take “on-call” duty and respond within 30 minutes of request.
Future Expectation: within 6 months of hire must have scheduled, taken and provided the Director of DI, and Human Resources with ARRT (MRI) Registry test results. Will successfully complete the ARRT (MR) Registry within twelve months of hire, if not in possession at time of hire. Performs related responsibilities as assigned.
